Frail Echoes

A selection of 19th century American hymns from the 1982 Hymnal of the Episcopal Church, which I arranged for frailing banjo. These tunes are recorded on a hand-made banjo, whose resonating surface is (alleged to be) a Civil War-era mess dish. This collection is dedicated to my late father-in-law, John Worrell: our last serious conversation was to go through the hymnal, looking at these hymns, with me trying to sight read them on the banjo.
